Studio for a hosting professor

The studio is located in close proximity to the Faculty of Architecture at CTU, at the intersection of Studentská and Velflíkova streets. The original urban concept, featuring a circular floor plan, was chosen to complement the surrounding development and connect the urban layout of the two streets. However, the design eventually shifted its focus to preserving a mature linden tree growing on the site. This tree became a key element that influenced the placement of the building—now the studio breaks urban lines and humbly steps back to make space for nature. The disruption of regularity is further emphasized by blocks that break the exterior form and reflect in the interior layout. Green roofs, black concrete, and large windows underscore the connection to the surrounding nature.
