Vyšehrad - A change of perspective

The project creates a minimalist tube with a staircase, which creates a visual and spatial connection between the historic Vyšehrad and the modern city. The building is located on the corner of the bastion. Part of the staircase is for entrance and the other for relaxation, lectures or reciting poems. One opening frames a view of the Vltava river, second Pankrác,V-Tower. Vyšehrad is one of the most important places in Prague, not only in terms of history, but also because of its strategic location and symbolic significance. Therefore, I wanted to create a design that respects its historical character, but at the same time brings something contemporary. My goal was to create a design that is not only aesthetic, but also functional and beneficial to the site and its visitors.
