Vyšehrad - A change of perspective

The main purpose of the project was to provide the visitor with a new and original view of Vyšehrad and the city of Prague by combining views of three important architectural monuments - the Baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the Gothic Basilica of St. Peter and Paul and the Romanesque Rotunda of St. Martin. The building is composed of three fundamental structures - a cuboid, a cone and a polyhedron. The central cuboid allows visitors to experience the views individually, while the terrace on top of the cone offers an overall view of the situation and surrounding context. The last structure is a polyhedron with a skylight where visitors can stop and relax undisturbed.
