Vyšehrad - A change of perspective
Annotation
The concept of "Changing Views" explores a new concept of space and its connection to the spiritual component of man. The design is based on geometric shapes - two rectangles, a square and a cylinder - which create three different views: the Vltava River, the park and the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul. Part of the building is located underground and offers a view of the river, while the walls limit the field of view, ensuring concentration on this view. The central part acts as a transition between the lower and upper parts, where light is provided by a transparent spiral staircase. On the roof of the building, a panoramic view of Prague opens up. The spiral staircase symbolises the life cycle and leads to the destination - the city view.
