Articulated house

Jakub Klečák

Annotation

With its location, this concrete monolith responds primarily to an urbanistically demanding location, in which it completes the missing corner of the streets and at the same time makes the neglected, highly frequented space in which it is located more pleasant. With its unusual shape consisting of a cylinder holding two identical blocks stacked on top of each other, it expresses a certain dynamism, a direction towards the faculty of architecture, and with its small volume it evenly fills a large space. Made of concrete enriched with beige pigment, this building ensures a certain monumentality and pleasantness. Emphasis was also placed on pleasant use and working inside the building, but also on the aesthetic enrichment of passers-by.
