GUESTING PROFESSOR'S ATELIER - HOUSE IN THE FENCE

The visiting professor's studio directly completes the western fourth corner of the plot of land of the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. The building is located on the corner of the intersection of Kolejní and Bechyňova streets, directly behind the Faculty of Arts of the Czech Technical University, near the faculty garages and one of the local canteens. Kolejní street is not a main traffic artery, so the quietness of this place is suitable for both work and living. The facade is a direct part of the fence, which flows smoothly from it. The symbolism of connecting the house with the fence is an effort to directly take over the common properties of the fence and the newly designed house - protection, separation of private and public space, etc.
