ANA TE VAI

Annotation
These underground pools with ocean views serve those who love water but dislike marine ecosystem.
The building is located on the west coast cliff of Easter Island, 6 kilometers from the capital Hanga Roa.
The main feature of the structure is a spiral staircase descending around the tree whose crown rises above the surface. I was inspired by similar natural phenomena on Easter Island. This is where the name of the building comes from.
All the pools are connected and together form a cave complex with views out to the Pacific Ocean. This experience is enhanced by descending levels of the pool, which evoke a gradually decreasing seabed. In addition, in the afternoon, the pools offer a unique view of setting sun over the ocean horizon.
