ZAN projects

Annotation

The inspiration for the project is a mystical lost island. Its existence is unproven, and its appearance is a realm of human imagination. The pavilion evokes the mystery of the island and its underwater location. Smooth shapes embedded in a classical structure resemble the dynamics of water. From the entrance to the top, a person experiences the effect of diving. The entrance is one of the brightest spots, thanks to glass doors and windows that reach the ceiling. The deepest space of the pavilion is a cinema depicting a severed civilization. The path upwards remains mysterious; the opening above the stairs allows sunlight in and guides visitors. The second brightest area is at the top, where the glass wall principle allows enjoyment of light after darkness, like air after resurfacing.
