Oasis in Karlovy Vary

This project transforms the brownfield of the former waterworks in Karlovy Vary into a new community center for meetings, relaxation and entertainment. The building, inspired by the elements of water and fire, is divided into two opposing parts – an open summer café and an enclosed bar with a dance hall. We descend to the café through a spiral ramp, which symbolizes the water stream. The fountain at the foot of the ramp brings refreshment and a spa atmosphere. On the other hand, the two-storey roofed part of the bar and dance hall, inspired by the element of fire, brings live energy thanks to the fireplace that dominates the lower space intended for dancing. The building sensitively combines both contrasting elements and thus creates a unique experience for visitors.
