Fjellenes Åre (The Vein of the Mountains)

The underground structure, located on a slope near Lake Gjende in Jotunheimen National Park, is designed for relaxation and rejuvenation. The main entrance is situated along a hiking trail, while the lower exit leads to the lake, where a pier provides a refreshing spot. A mountain stream flows through the building, forming an integral part of its design. The facility includes a wellness area with pools, saunas, Kneipp walkways, and a refreshment area, which is also accessible to passing hikers. Natural light enters through skylights, and the rooftop terraces offer views of the lake and surrounding landscape. The structure is designed to blend seamlessly with its environment.
