The Museum of the Lost City

Annotation

Originally, the royal town of Ruskinovce was located here. It was razed in 1952 for a military training area. The skylights are designed to evoke the feeling of history peeking out from beneath the earth. You can enter via winding staircase. The layout of the space is centered around a winding corridor, guiding visitors easily through the exhibits. A small stream flows alongside the descending terrain, just as it once did through the town. From the corridor, you can enter the main circular hall, then the observation deck, or descend via a spiral staircase to the lower level for relaxation. A room with a fireplace evokes atmosphere of past villages. The fire reflects in the flowing water. The skylights highlight the exhibits. Making history come alive both physically and emotionally.
