BOULDERS ON BEROUNKA RIVER

Bc. Mária Adriána Lavková

Annotation

Two boulders on the Berounka River are connected by a footbridge based on the past. The design restores the demolished connection of the banks and a new one is being built on the site of the former bridge. The proposed object combines two functions - a pedestrian footbridge and a nature museum of the Křivoklát region. The volume of the museum buildings, the boulders, as well as the pylons of the massive bridge break the surface of the river. In contrast to the building, a light cable-stayed steel footbridge based on the old bridgehead floats above the river. The exoskeleton of the building with inorganic hard shapes is filled with organic curves.
