THE SHRADDER
Annotation
The shradder is alive – it is inhabited, used, seen. Reader's attention is drawn to a banner for a second-hand bookshop, which was carefully selected by the owner of the store, same as other banners - with the heart, without any sympathy for the façade. A pedestrian walks by, he is dragged to the building by a sniffing dog and sees a part of a shop behind a window – but only a part, gramophone records and valuable books cannot bear the heat of the sun. At night, a student scribbles on the northern façade, the nuisance cannot be washed, and so it becomes part of the house like a frecle. An old man returns home, wondering, as always, at the novelties in the entrance hall. In his old age, he moved closer to his granddaughter and spends his days wondering through Libeň and reading.
