BOOKS AS BRICKS

I begin my project with an excerpt from Christopher Alexander because reflections on what a book represents in today’s world feel like an essential foundation for this creative process. My aim was to design an object that would materialize books as bricks - the oldest building material. Both fundamental elements, books and bricks, carry dimensions inherently adapted to human anthropometric measures and are primarily designed to serve human use and interaction. Just as bricks form the structures of our physical world, books serve as building blocks for constructing our personal realms of knowledge.
