Mango Blues

In close vicinity of the Prague Castle, under the Ořechovka villa district on a unique lot, currently lies the mega-intersection Malovanka. Nearly 100 000 automobiles pass through the area every day and the number is only expected to rise, as the city aims to build Břevnovská radiála adjacent to Malovanka. A bold intervention is the in the form of a proposed platform, that covers the loud intersection and offers more viable uses to the land above the, cars was created. Mango Blues reacts to the busy nature of the location with a heavy facade that ensures a pleasant environment inside the flats as well as the courtyard. The robust structure and monolithic facade acts as a filter for the outer setting.
