The Holešovice Market is undergoing a transformation that brings new opportunities for use. Hall 36, originally part of the slaughterhouse complex, offers an ideal foundation for the concept of a "city above the city" due to its flat roof. My design addresses the shortage of kindergarten spaces in Holešovice. By utilizing the roof and transforming the central passage, the result is an atrium kindergarten with a tiered seating area that overcomes the height difference and connects both parts of the hall. This project demonstrates that integrating contemporary architecture with new layers can not only provide a functional solution to the lack of kindergartens but also enrich the urban landscape with thoughtful and aesthetic structures that contribute to its long-term sustainability.
