Staropramen´s Bartender of the Year Award

When designing the award for Staropramen's Bartender of the Year, I wanted to incorporate the image of taps into the design and differentiate the award from existing statues, which are usually inspired by beer glasses. Initially I sketched out ideas for classic statues and tap handles, but eventually decided to combine the negative tap shape with a block plate in an unconventional way. The final design is therefore a hybrid between a 2D appreciation of a diploma and a 3D metal statuette. Brass would be used to produce the award as the traditional material of the original taps. The brass would be cast into a plate into which the negative of the tap would be milled. Finally, the logo of the competition and the name of the winner would be engraved in the bottom right of the plate.
