The building was partly built into the hillside, or at least appeared to be. He approached the massive opening in disbelief. Intuition told him that it was the entrance. Silently, he looked inside. He himself did not want to believe that he was entering the bowels of this temple of death. The walls inside narrowed uncomfortably, and the terrain converged inward, as if the structure were pulling him through its concrete joints to somewhere otherworldly. As he walked through the corridor, the daylight gradually left him. At its end, he entered an indistinct space. It was indeed a cramped room that breathed heaviness.
