Temporary housing on a hillside | Smichov
Annotation
The house is located in Smichov, very close to the railway. The building is set into a slope and its shape responds to the terrain. The task was to create temporary housing, so the construction of the house is wooden with CLT wall panels. The building is sheathed with vertical white wooden planks and the lower part is covered with black perforated sheeting. The black and white color clearly visually divides the house into public and residential parts. The house is aimed at accommodating students from Ukraine who have an artistic profession. On the ground floor there is a cafe-laundry room and a music room. On the second floor there are living rooms. Because the glass doors of each personal room face the slope, additional lighting is needed, which is provided by skylights from above.
