Vyšehrad - A change of perspective
Annotation
One's view can mean either external physical or internal psychological.
In architecture "Change of View" is likely to refer to physical sight, aiming it towards a specific object or creating new lookout spaces. My project defies this.
Inner change of view has immediately been my primary focus. The initial topic of death and meaning of life has through discussions with my supervisors eventually evolved into exploration of lives of famous individuals buried at Vyšehrad. My new goal has then become to experiment with ways of showing emotions using structural mass.
In this project walking the edge between art and architecture, I interpret the challenges in lives of five renowned figures from the Slavín cemetary: Božena Němcová, Julius Zeyer, Bedřich Smetana, Alfons Mucha and Vlasta Burian.
