Exhibition pavilion in Stromovka

Natalie Tišerová

Annotation

The building is located in Prague's Stromovka district and is a small universal gallery. It lies on a square plan, with one side broken by a glass curve, which allows the space to be filled with sufficient natural light. The two solid walls enclosing the space offer a more intimate atmosphere and direct attention to the works on display. The space in front of the building is topped with a tree that encloses the square and harmoniously connects the architecture with the surrounding nature. The pavilion has two levels. The ground floor houses the main exhibition space and the utilities. The second level consists of a balcony spacious enough for further exhibitions while providing visitors with a view of the exhibits on the ground floor.
