CHAPEL 4+3=7

Mgr. Diana Walsh

Annotation

Chapel with a soul, without religion. The connection of the secular and the divine, four, three, seven. Place that encourages seclusion, calming down and searching. Wandering between the columns, or remaining in the play of light and shadow, in silence, within oneself. Offers space opened 24/7. A whole composed of seven columns that support a broken quadrangle, divided into two triangles. Glass surfaces with prints of the remains of the extinct village of Boden inspired by the Porta Lasvit collection by Maxim Velčovský. A material combination of durable impermeable concrete and ephemeral relief glass. The indelibility of traces and the transience of the moment, the play of light and shadow. Inspiration for the shape in Cheb timbered houses and the shape processing of timbered gables.
