Annotation
The diploma thesis focuses on the proposal of landscape restoration in the area of Podyjí National Park and its surroundings, which is facing significant problems related to water scarcity. The aim of the project is to propose measures for water retention in the landscape and to improve its ecological stability through the revitalization of historical landscape elements such as springs, wetlands, copses , wet meadows and riparian vegetation. The proposal emphasises the restoration of watercourses, respect for natural drainage patterns and the creation of bio-corridors to support biodiversity and landscape connectivity. In addition, the project includes improving the accessibility of the landscape for local people and tourism, connecting points of interest and creating sustainable routes. The main objective is to mitigate the effects of drought and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the landscape through natural processes and sustainable water management solutions.
