MENTAL HEALTH CENTRE - PRAGUE

The concept of the thesis is to open up a debate on how architecture and the environment can contribute to a fresher view of mental health, a topic that is currently still marginalised in society. One in four citizens of the Czech Republic currently suffers from a mental illness. The proposal therefore seeks to find a way to elevate the conversation about mental health, to de-stigmatise it and make it part of our everyday lives. The concept deals with the reconstruction of a former warehouse building within the Holešovice market area. It is the location of this place that seeks to connect the public with the topic of mental health, to be available in a busy place and to educate anyone who needs it.
