CUBES AND OTHER BODIES

on the corner of Vyšehradská Street and Charles Square in Prague, in the former gardens of the Na Slovanech Monastery, the premises of the Gama studio of architect Karel Prager were built in the late 1960s in briefly lighter conditions.
Brutalist with everything - generosity of form, but also nowadays unsatisfactory thermal properties and technical problems of all kinds.
The name of the cube was adopted for it - due to its shape. Today it houses IPR/ CAMP, a quite useful organisation of the capital of Prague.
The complex is in dire need of an upgrade for the twenty-first century.
and its immediate surroundings in the arc of Na Moráni and Vyšehradská streets to the connection with Zítkovy sady, Palackého náměstí and the river
We would like to propose various topics for this challenge as a substantive contribution to the ongoing discussion about the fate of the ensemble and its surroundings.
Housing, administration, business, hotel, dormitory, probably a combination of all these
we have a relationship with this complex - we both worked there for a while.
